Meltio lanserar eget svetstrådsmaterial
Sortimentet består av material som genomgått omfattande tester under noggrant kontrollerade förhållanden – med validerade egenskaper och optimerade utskriftsparametrar redo för print. Den första batchen som lanseras i år inkluderar Rostfritt stål 316L, Rostfritt stål 308L, Kolstål ER70S, Titan 64 och Inconel 718.
Meltio kommer dock fortsatt vara en öppen materialplattform, kompatibel med tredje parts svetstråd. Deras banbrytande 3D-lösningar för metall hanterar för närvarande de flesta rostfria stål, kolstål, verktygsstål samt titan- och nickellegeringar. Dessutom har Meltios kundledda projekt visat goda resultat vid utskrift med invar, kobolt-kromlegeringar och ädelmetaller.
Koppar, aluminium och andra eldfasta material är också under utveckling.

Meltio Launches Own Range of Metal Wire Materials and Consolidates a Disruptive Materials Strategy
Linares, Spain - January 18th, 2022. Meltio; a disruptive laser metal deposition technology manufacturer today announced it is launching its own range of metal wire materials while also maintaining the open materials platform options to accentuate the importance of materials as a key factor of 3D printing user experience.
The Meltio Materials range consists of materials that are extensively tested under controlled conditions with validated part properties and out-of-the-box optimized print parameters. The first batch to be launched this year in a welding wire format includes; Stainless Steel 316L, Stainless Steel 308L, Mild Steel ER70S, Titanium 64, and Nickel 718.
Nevertheless, Meltio’s wire LMD technology remains compatible with third-party commodity welding wire. Currently, Meltio’s pioneering process is compatible with most stainless steels, mild steels, tool steels, titanium alloys, and nickel alloys. In addition, invar, cobalt-chrome alloys, and precious metals like gold have been showing great results in customer-led projects. Materials like copper, aluminum, and refractories continue to be under development.
By offering the new Meltio Materials range as well as maintaining an open materials platform, Meltio users will be able to benefit from both. On the one hand, it has the added value of first-time-right with the Meltio Materials’ optimized print profiles. On the other hand, the open materials platform provides the Meltio users with an option to push the envelope by experimenting with different materials.
